Hello From Iraq

1/10/2008 10:01:51 PM

If anyone knows of groups that put together packages for soldiers, we don't really need anything but one of our stations is behind a school and there are a lot of kids that need pencils, pens, paper and of course chocolate or hard candies.

USPS has a flat rate box (actually 2 boxes with different dimensions) it's only $8.95 to ship it and you can fill it with as much as you want, up to 70lbs.  You can pick the boxes up at any USPS station for free.  You will need to grab a customs form as well.

My address is:
SPC Grueter, Timothy (2nd Plt)
202nd MP Co\FOB Warhorse
APO AE 09336

If you have any questions about it, feel free to post them here,

Thanks,

Tim

Hi Tim,

You don't know me but, you might know my fiancee, PFC John Ferguson. He is half white/half korean. Anyway, I have enclosed some links, if you like for care packages, perhaps you guys can distribute to those kids.

This bottom one in particular, you will get a lot of stuff for your entire unit. So I recommend them.

If you know my fiancee, please send him my love. My prayers with all of you.

P.S. On my website, I have a video of three guys you probably might know, I interviewed them 3 days before you guys left. (Hayes, Hernandez, and Ferguson) I thought you might be interested in taking a look at it. Very inspiring video about the guys motivating the public to pursue their dreams.

Hi Tim - I have been sending packages through adoptaplatoon since June. Recently sent 4 boxes of holiday stuff put together by a local cub scout group. I am confident that our packages have reached you and it is good to hear all are doing well. My next shipment (addressed to SSG Martinez) will include loads of stuff for the school. We are all proud of you guys. Enjoy the holiday stockings. Sincerely, Gary Durante
